Position Description
Manhattan Associates is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services Organization. As a Principal Technical Consultant, you will lead the technical implementation of Manhattan Associates Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment solutions in accordance with our customers’ business requirements. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for the integration analysis, integrated solution design, generation of functional specifications, custom development technical configuration, application simulations and application troubleshooting.
Position Responsibilities: • Participate in discovery and definition of client’s business objectives. • Propose integration design solution. • Design system operation processes (i.e., disaster recovery, integration error, jog sequencing, performance monitoring). • Participate in the application configuration per the business requirements of the client. • Lead system sizing and application performance initiatives. • Support business lead in troubleshooting and product feature scenario testing. • Educate customers on technical operations and support of application. • Effectively work, track, and report against project plan. • Lead the application custom development in adherence to Manhattan Associates Custom Development Methodology that enables base product upgradeability and supportability. • Create strong relationships with client • Effectively lead meetings and manage client expectations • Mentor and oversee consultant staff on engagements. • Assist with project management duties as assigned by the Program Manager on engagements. • Deliver on-time, on-budget deliverables for individual tasks and tasks assigned to your team. • Continued growth in new technology areas as dictated by application direction. • Adherence and contribution to Manhattan Associates implementation methodology. • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and assist with sales presentations along with the Manhattan Associates sales team.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field. Advanced degree is a plus. • 7+ years experience in enterprise integration and customization. • 4+ years industry experience in domain of supply chain, planning, or inventory management solutions. • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. • Proven client-facing consultative skills. • Expert in SQL (Oracle preferred), UNIX scripting, Query/DB optimization. • Familiarity with Java, JSP, PL/SQL, ANT. • Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting and diagnostic skills • Implementation experience with supply chain or distribution planning systems. • Supervisory and team lead experience on multiple implementations. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Up to 100% travel may be required.
