Position Summary:

Responsible for providing financial advice to a customer-facing organization, driving profitable growth for both Clorox and our retailer partners. This will include acting as the financial advisor on a Regional Business Center customer team, recommending new processes or policies and/or working to ensure that existing processes and policies can be effective in the ever-changing customer environment. The specific work is diverse in scope, with the analytical requirements often driven by the information available and sophistication of the customer. The position is field-based, and requires a strong level of autonomy and ability to manage business and functional requirements independently. Strong communication, leadership, and adaptation skills are a must.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop financial valuations of business initiatives to support business growth and/or drive process improvement for Clorox and our key customers. Detailed probing to ensure accuracy/integrity of assumptions, identifying gaps and solutions, and recommending changes to policy and procedure changes (as needed).





  • Present business-building recommendations to management at both the customer and Clorox.





  • Analyze Trade funds spending and the develop business plans to maximize returns on investment for both Clorox and our customers.





  • Act as the financial representative of Clorox to the customer.





  • Build the financial capabilities of the multifunctional team through coaching and conducting ongoing assessment of the team's needs.





  • Develop a clear understanding of our customer’s strategic direction,

  • and lead Clorox to leverage this knowledge to improve results.
  • This involves understanding the key metrics our customers use to assess their manufacturers and how Clorox has the ability to impact them.



** Position may also be located in Mason, OH - Sales Office.


 


Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.





  • 4 – 6 years of professional work experience in finance and accounting.





  • Solid SAP or other ERP systems experience desired; must have thorough knowledge of financial reporting and experience in interpreting accounting and finance-related processes.





  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate resources outside functional area to support work required by the team.





  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.





  • Strong financial analysis and decision making abilities, combined with strong practical usage of knowledge in real world situations.





  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, both in written form and in front of a group.





  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with limited management oversight, given not co-located with manager.





  • Ability to travel 30%-40%.



Desired Qualifications:


Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.


Forecasting, and/or Financial planning & analysis experience.


CPG industry experience with a basic understanding of the Order through Cash process.
