The Director is responsible for leading the engineering and asset management activities of the Business Unit.
Engineering
Leads project management teams responsible for execution (from concept to initial production) of multi discipline capital programs and projects (Annual platform capital budget $15mm - $20mm).
Determines and implements contract engineering strategy
Ensures efficiency of project management processes
Leads process improvement initiatives
Leads automation initiatives
Coordinates manufacturing excellence program, which consists of mobilizing operations, engineering and other company resources around specific strategic manufacturing improvement initiatives.
Develops and implements strategic process innovation programs.
Reliability
Leads development and implementation of reliability-based maintenance practices focused on standardized best practices of core preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
Leads condition monitoring, failure prediction, and failure mode analysis into the maintenance process.
Ensures optimal planning and allocation of maintenance and capital resources
Implements best practices of maintenance planning and scheduling work and materials in managing assets.
Coordinates transition of plant based maintenance organizations (ensures efficient headcount, skills, use of contractors) towards reliability based maintenance.
Ensures strategic alignment of reliability based maintenance initiative with business goals and priorities.
Develops effective planning processes with purchasing group for materials procurement, effecting working capital of maintenance spares targets while minimizing obsolescence effects.

Maintenance Coordinator
This position has interaction with all levels of management within the business organization to establish strategic direction and priorities and works closely with Operations Managers.
This position works in close cooperation with the director of operations who is responsible for the management of the BU’s plants and mines
This position is a member of the senior leadership team of the division which includes all directors (finance, sales, marketing, technology, operations, supply chain, engineering and asset management, HR)
This position interacts with the members of the Imerys manufacturing excellence network
Outside of the organization this position has frequent interaction with top management of key equipment and material vendors, engineering consultants, and installation contractors.
This position is located in Roswell, GA and requires traveling to, and working in, manufacturing facilities. This includes travel to vendor facilities, construction sites, system start-ups, etc.
Report to (position): NAPM VP General Manager
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Technical discipline
Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance reliability leadership role, or project engineering leadership role
Experience with maintaining process equipment desired
Experience in mining/minerals preferred
Demonstrated change management skills including active involvement with leading behavior changes at tactical level as well as with leading broad change initiatives involving a large business or broad work process.
Strong analytical skills to organize, interpret, and draw conclusions from data.
Personal communication skills including effective presentation skills, personal salesmanship, and examples of communication required with change management.
Results-orientated accountable management style which demonstrates active involvement with appropriate attention to detail, follow-up and use of key performance measures in driving continuous improvement.
