Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Serves as the Law School's chief admission officer and directs the planning and implementation of its recruitment and admission programs. Provides leadership in the overall operation of the Admission Office, formulates admission standards and enrollment targets, and manages a departmental budget and small staff. Develops enrollment and marketing plans that produce stronger applicant pools and greater yields. Executes a communication strategy, in collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communications, which supports key admissions goals, including the production of relevant multi-media products (e.g. website, blogs, video, etc.) Ensures effective and professional communications with prospects, applicants, admitted students and their families. Identifies and implements leading edge technological strategies for managing resources and information. Coordinates technological development with other university offices, outside agencies and vendors. Advises the Associate Dean for Student Services and Community Engagement on all admissions-related issues. Manages the admission activities with particular emphasis on the awarding and monitoring of financial aid and scholarships. Conducts enrollment planning and analysis with senior institutional leadership. Actively participates in application reading, interviewing and evaluations. Works with faculty, staff, students and administrators to develop post-admission recruitment events. Prepares and presents comprehensive reports and data analyses related to admissions trends and demographics. Develops strategies for enhancement of web-based recruitment and communication initiatives. Manages special projects as assigned. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in business administration, education or a related field and seven years of experience in the development or administration of admissions, education, professional, or business programs. A J.D. is preferred. Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and program development. Effective writing and public speaking skills.
