Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates for the position of Chairperson should possess, at a minimum, the following qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in a social science discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 semester or 30 quarter hours of graduate credits in one of the disciplines housed in the Division;
- Administrative and supervisory experience at the collegiate level, preferably at or above the division and/or departmental level;
- Demonstrated competency in grant writing, grant management and current instructional technologies;
- A minimum of five (5) years of collegiate-level teaching experience;
- Demonstrated leadership ability to include excellent management and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent computer as well as written and oral communication skills; and,
- Demonstrated ability to establish partnerships with external stakeholders and other academic/community entities.
