The College of Arts and Sciences at Clayton State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Bachelor of Applied Science degree program offering the following majors: Administrative Management and Technology Management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Earned doctorate in an appropriate area such as technology management, administrative management or management.
Ability to teach a wide range of management and business/industry related courses
Experience teaching online classes using WebCT or other online instructional system.
Successful college teaching experience.
Available to teach evening and online classes.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Strong background in business/industry and technology.
Student advisement experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach courses in technology management and administrative management, such as leadership, accounting, entrepreneurship, international management, etc.
Serve as an advisor for students in the program.
Engage in scholarly activity leading to publication and presentation.
Participate in service to the Department, College, University and community.

The position is a ten-month tenure-track appointment that reports to the Social Sciences Department Chair and works closely with the BAS Program Coordinator. The position will begin January 2010. Salary will be commensurate with experience and competitive with comparable programs.
