SUMMARY
The position is responsible for the electronics engineering needed to design and developing and testing systems for UPS, telecommunications, and other stationary battery power systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1) Work with other engineers and technicians and outside vendors to accomplish tasks set by the Lithium Ion Battery Manager
2) Participate in the design of charging and control electronics for high voltage and high power sytems, especially Lithium Ion.
3) Cooperates with functional engineering personnel to ensure an integrated system that meets overall requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Has the ability to work on tasks under direction of the Lithium Ion Battery Manger and can design, prototype, and follow through production, the electronics for Lithium Ion packs charging and controls.
Has ability to manage tasks from start to finish.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BSEE from accredited four-year college or university. MS degree is desirable. 5 years of professional engineering experience in related field Experience with Matlab, Simulink
Knowledge of Automotive data buses (e.g., CAN, LIN)
Battery and/or power systems experience a strong plus.
Experience with high voltage/ high power systems is desired
Demonstrated knowledge of PC board layout issues
Experience with electronics board manufacturing issues.
