Concurrent is seeking a motivated, highly professional individual to join our Architecture team. This individual needs to possess a strong knowledge of Content Delivery Network protocols and architectures. This individual will work closely with CTO, Product Management, developers and third parties. Responsibilities include heading brainstorming sessions that will lead to system requirements and reference architectures. Must possess an in depth knowledge of system hardware and software in order to provide strategic direction for new products in the Content Delivery Network space. The ability to evaluate new competitive technologies and collect internal and external customer concerns to develop well-designed architectural diagrams, system requirements, scopes and white papers. Requirements Include: * B.S, Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, related engineering field or equivalent experience. * In depth knowledge of several different aspects of the CDN systems including hardware and software, and systems to which a CDN is integrated. * Ability to evaluate new and competitive technologies in order to determine feasibility for integration into the system. * Able to develop and present architectural diagrams, system requirements, scope and functional specification documents for new enhancements. * Able to develop White Papers and other technical documents for review and presentation to internal and external groups. * Ability to provide strategic technical direction by defining new features, products and technologies. * Experience working with third parties to determine how to integrate technologies with Concurrent systems * Proficient in collecting internal and external customer concerns and update documents or comments accordingly. * Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and development experience * Strong skills in Content Delivery Network protocols and architectures including edge caching, and fast, scalable and reliable delivery of content to multiply devises. * Have previously worked for or have a good knowledge of providers such as Limelight, Akamai, ect. * Over 10 years of system engineering or Architecture * 5+ years Content Delivery Network experience in a technical environment * Excellent communication and documentation skills * Must be a self starter with good organizational and analytical skills with solid ability to work in a team-oriented environment Leadership and/or mentoring skills a plus
