Qualifications: Required:
Basic understanding of internet video technology
Video production knowledge
Good visual sense & understanding of informational graphics
Strong news awareness & journalistic integrity
College degree, preferably journalism, internet or television-related education
Desired:
Background in Court Room proceedings.
Background or knowledge of overall legal proceedings
Effective news writing ability
Thorough knowledge of CNN News system
Line Producing background
Post production, package producing background
Two years show producing at a local station or network, or one year as writer/producer at CNN, or one year combined as writer/copy editor at Headline News, or two years as Associate Producer at CNN. Line Producing background, background in personal finance, Post Production package producing background, Copy Editing for air, editing abilities, ability to write scripts for air, ability to copy edit scripts for air preferred. Understanding of internet video technology, video production knowledge, good visual sense & understanding of informational graphics

Photoshop skills, Understanding of non-linear editing & production environments. Effective news writing ability. Thorough knowledge of CNN News system. Thinks broadly, takes initiative, delivers results, builds relationships, leads others. Experience in helping to launch a new project, department or network. Excellent leadership skills.
Duties: Duties: Prepare elements, research and fonts for lead up to show. May generate show graphics and other on-screen elements for air. May produce mini-packages or bumps for shows. Generate fonts, identify sots and vo's in control room during live broadcast. May screen calls and other control room responsibilities. Log trials, news conferences and field tapes. Gather material from library. Assist Post Producers with edit production. Assist research department (Trial Trackers). Research and gather trial information & other news stories for "research" packets to be used by show team including anchors and reporters. Assist Assignment Editors gather news, coordinate logistics for field, setup lines for bookers. Interacts with several departments: Media Operations, Operations, CNN Library & other departments. May assist with maintaining the content on the In Session show page or blog. May support other In Session or HLN departments along with other duties as assigned by manager.
