1. Leads cross-functional project teams and sourcing efforts requiring engagement at senior levels of the organization. Engages with Contract Manufacturers at all levels and represents Clorox during sourcing and negotiation efforts.
2. Develops contract manufacturing strategies for 3 years and beyond for assigned businesses. Has clear understanding of “big picture” and incorporates into decision-making and analysis.
3. Lead cost savings projects across SBUs or functions specific to spend categories. Evaluates copack supply chains or spends for cost savings opportunities.
4. Provide input into the Long Range Planning process for your assigned category(s) that aligns category activity with the Strategic Business Units goals and objectives
5. Manage the assigned division contract manufacturing supply base using SRM methodologies.
6. Evaluate project successes and failures and drives process changes to improve future projects
7. Work with the international Clorox colleagues to develop, where appropriate, global contract manufacturing strategies leveraging volume, knowledge and relationships
8. Work with R&D and project teams to ensure early involvement of procurement expertise in new innovation projects where contract manufacturing is involved.
9. Active management of the upstream raw materials, where appropriate, to create competitive advantage for Clorox globally
- Supports the company’s sustainability strategies by incorporating the concept of recycle, renew, and reuse into all category and sourcing strategies.
- Supports the company’s diversity strategy by investigating possible sources for diversity spend for all sourcing events
