Overview:

We are currently seeking a an Area EOE Manager (Human Resources) for our South Atlantic Region.  Area EOE Managers report directly to the Director of Employee and Organizational Excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Listen to plant management staff requests with an open mind in order to provide the best possible Human Resource solutions available.
• Act as a voice of reason by creating alternative solutions and compromises between what plant management wants and what is legal in order to please all parties involved.
• Serve as a sounding board for Plant Managers and Regional Operations Directors as it relates to personnel development and growth plans.
• Use your exceptional customer service skills to assist plant management with Human Resource initiatives in a friendly, cooperative manner.
• Cooperate with all different types of personalities, both across and within plants, in order to ensure fairness and consistency in Human Resource practices within the company.
• Learn the ins and outs of the business in order to be more persuasive when reasoning why the solution or steps you have created are the best possible for the plant and the company as a whole.


 


Recruiting



• Recruit employees for all hourly and salaried openings at plants within your area.
• Attend job fairs when necessary in order to find new employees.
• Follow through on the entire recruiting and hiring process from posting jobs, screening resumes, interviewing applicants, interviewing hiring managers, writing up offer letters, and handling new hire paperwork.




Qualifications:

Requirements
• Five years experience in administering and managing Human Resource programs.
• Five years experience as an Human Resource Generalist.
• Must have at least a Bachelor's degree.
• Have a love for researching and be able to research state laws.
• Need to be comfortable with public speaking.
• Should be an independent thinker and worker.
• Must have a basic knowledge of Human Resources and federal/state law changes.
• Be flexible and able to handle change.


 


Preferred Skills/Attributes
• Some experience working with unions.
• SHRM certification is a plus.
• PHR certification preferred.
• Managerial experience of some kind is a plus!
• Experience with training programs or facilitating training initiatives is preferred.
