Under the direction of the Regional President, responsible for the implementation of agency development strategies in the assigned Profit Center with the primary objective being to increase the production of profitable business, expand the number of product lines placed by key agents and identify and develop new production sources.
The Regional President will supervise the day-to-day activities of the Regional Director, ensuring alignment with regional strategy.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Distribution Strategy:
* Execute Corporate distribution strategy
* Manages and coordinates with business units the development of regional and Profit Center distribution strategies
* Support business unit distribution strategies
Relationship Management:
* Manage Relationship Managers, providing leadership to the tactical and strategic accomplishment of Agency Planning best practices
* Serves as advocate, consultant and trusted advisor for agents and Travelers staff
* Provide leadership to Marketing Specialist in the coordination of relationship events
* Recognizes, through a variety of methods, key contributors and performances
* Provide ongoing coaching to RMs through joint visits and guide them in the strategic aspects of their role.
Marketing:
* Coordinate the implementation of a unified marketing strategy
* Visit agents to present products and appetites and assist BUs in transactional sales as needed
* Drives the identification of methods to capitalize on competitive advantage and high potential agencies
* Promotes and encourages the sharing of success stories
* Manage, coordinates and supports an effective cross-selling process
* Provide guidance to Marketing Specialist in the planning and coordination of enterprise-wide marketing events
Communication:
* Provide guidance to Marketing Specialist in the coordination of regional newsletters, marketing materials
* Manage the communication of the overall distribution strategy internally
* Manage an effective agency council acting as proxy for RP as necessary
* Coordinates training on products and services for agents and internal staff to promote cross-sell opportunities
* Serve, along with Marketing Specialist, as a focal point for collecting and disseminating competitive intelligence
Agency Management/Compensation:
*Manage Franchise ELITE Agency selection, planning and performance
* Coordinate and support Travelers compensation strategies through education and periodic reviews to maximize results
* Leverage competitive intelligence and Enterprise strengths to drive production across all distribution channels
* Provide quidance to Marketing Specialist on the coordination of new agency appointments and identification of high potential agencies
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Underwriting and/or marketing experience
Excellent communication skills
College degree or equivalent experience
