Summary of Role:
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President-Marketing and Business Development-USP&C, this position manages all aspects of USP&C’s Marine and Transportation business for the Americas.
§ Develop and maintain relations with the organization's customers to monitor their business developments and recommend corrective action to business plans where necessary
§ Identify market segments that are underdeveloped and make relevant proposals to ensure that all opportunities are exploited short-term, and relationships are developed longer-term
§ Work closely with senior leadership and sales management to develop and implement strategic sales plan.
§ Direct sales/quota responsibility in addition to working with regional business development sales teams in penetrating new accounts
§ As needed, manage and deliver sales presentations to prospective key clients to facilitate the closing process directly and in support of regional business development sales team opportunities
§ Direct sales forecasting and reporting, working closely with finance team to develop corporate sales budgets and monthly estimates
§ Work closely with senior leadership to identify, assess and develop new products and entry strategies into new markets
§ Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times
Requirements:
§ Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, sales, marketing, or risk management, advance degree in business or marketing desired
§ 10 years of proven experience in insurance claims business development and adjusting with an emphasis on marine and transportation claims and at least 5 years of demonstrated managerial experience
§ Proven experience and successful track record in new business development and consultative selling
§ Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry, products and features, competition and competitive market conditions particularly as it relates to Marine and Transportation
§ Excellent leadership, coaching, project management and mentoring skills
§ Line of business expert with ability to develop production, and pricing strategies
§ Effective negotiating, teambuilding and influence management skills
§ Proven experience in an Insurance claims environment
§ Proven Account Management experience
