Senior Attorney
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and interpreting documentation relating to a wide variety of real estate, finance, commercial, and corporate transactions.
Reviewing, researching, and drafting legal opinions, memoranda, letters, and other documents on a variety of legal issues affecting the Bank.
Giving advice and rendering opinions with respect to the legal implications involved in establishing or changing Bank policy. Working with representatives from various departments on developing, modifying, and interpreting policies, practices and procedures to conform to legal requirements.
Analyzing and interpreting Federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, policies and administrative guidance, both proposed and final, affecting the Bank. Keeping the Banks employees, officers and directors informed of the same.
Conferring and communicating with the Banks employees, officers, directors, and customers, and other legal counsel, on a variety of legal matters.
Responding to appropriate questions from employees, officers, directors and customers of the Bank, and from applicable Federal and state regulatory agencies.
Identifying, scheduling, and delivering educational sessions on legal topics for Bank employees, officers and directors.
Supervising paralegals, legal assistants and legal secretaries in connection with assignments relating to the foregoing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A law degree, admission to the State Bar of Georgia, and at least six years of general corporate and commercial law experience.
