Strategic Sourcing Manager-Third Party and Accommodations
Position Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for building a supply base that is financially stable, technically capable and strategically aligned with Zep Inc business and brand strategies as measured by EQDCI (Enterprise Risk, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation)
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Utilize spend analysis tools and techniques to quantify total cost of ownership trends and to develop specific category management strategies
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify requirements/CTQs including game changing opportunities
  • Analyze macro- and micro-level supply market intelligence to identify key market drivers to predict supply market trends
  • Utilize category management process to develop future state category strategies that align with the business unit and brand strategies to achieve the targeted benefits on schedule.
  • Charter and lead teams responsible for implementing category management strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plans.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short and long-term savings targets.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and establish strategic sources for new technologies and new markets dictated by business requirements.
  • Provide timely update of supply market forecast and identify how trends in key feedstocks impact cost of materials
  • Utilize ZBS tools including Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management methodologies  to accelerate sustainable continuous improvement with suppliers through joint kaziens and projects
  • Facilitate escalation process intervention to expeditiously resolve supplier performance gaps
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in business, engineering or technical field; MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of strategic sourcing, supply chain, or relevant technical/analytical discipline experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Effective negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents
  • ZBS knowledge; Lean Six Sigma expertise; Project Management expertise
