My client, a small and rapidly growing, privately held specialty pharmaceutical company with both an RX Division as was as Consumer Healthcare Division, based in the Atlanta, GA suburbs, is focused on developing and marketing products of the highest quality. They plan to grow utilizing two approaches: developing and launching products, as well as in-licensing products and then developing and launching them.
The company has a robust pipeline, as well as a dedicated sales force to market their products. Their philosophy is to utilize a lean operating structure and partner with firms that have experience in manufacturing, formulation development and clinical trials.

I am currently seeking a General Manager for the Consumer Healthcare Division. This is a role that requires a prior Pharma OTC/Consumer Healthcare MARKETING background. Marketing, e-Marketing, Medical Communications and Call Center Manager report into the GM in this organization.
My client believes in rewarding employees that accomplish their goals, thus their compensation plan is heavily weighted in the bonus aspect. Target bonus 40% at meets expectations, and will pay out as high as 60% total for those that achieve above expectations.
TITLE: General Manager, Consumer Healthcare Division
REPORTS TO: Chief Medical Officer
SALARY RANGE: Up to $160,000 base, plus target bonus of 40-60%!!!!
RELO: Company strongly prefers local candidates. RELO ASSISTANCE IS MINIMAL (will reimburse up to $5,000 on relo)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The General Manager of Consumer Healthcare will:
* Serve as principal leader in cross-divisional management team, with primary responsibility for the Profit & Loss of the overall consumer business product portfolio
* Provide thought leadership to cross-functional team of professionals in the consumer division
* Develop strategic vision, including strategic planning, leadership and execution of consumer healthcare brand promotions (both retail and online/web-based), as well as development and implementation of pragmatic solutions to business issues and challenges, resulting in overall sales/market share growth
* Recruit, retain, inspire and motivate professional team to deliver results
* Actively develop and encourage high performance through education, unique work culture and development opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
Successful individual will possess an entrepreneurial spirit with proven business management and leadership experiences and abilities. Must be strategic, yet willing to roll up sleeves and get hands dirty. Small company, everyone is in the trenches.
Specific requirements of the successful candidate:
* Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related field required; MBA strongly preferred
* E-Commerce experience is required
* Minimum 10+ years of consumer healthcare marketing, managing product portfolios (B2B and B2C)
* Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and/or Dietary/Nutritional industry experience is required
* Managerial leadership experience required
* Experienced managing all facets of the business, including aligning cross-functional teams to manage and coordinate both internal and outsourced services such as manufacturing, supply chain/distribution, etc.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and grow consumer brands
* Superb communication skills: written, presentation and interpersonal
* Experience working in a regulated industry environment
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and can easily adapt to the dynamic marketplace
