Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: |
This position is responsible for providing the vision, strategy, and leadership for Bard Medical Division’s product line. Grows market leader position through new product development, implementing creative programs, and conversion of base customers to proprietary Infection Control system. This position is a key leadership role in the Division and is responsible for managing the product portfolio, driving revenue and margin performance, and providing direction in the strategic planning process.

Essential Job Functions: |
- Ensures the selection, orientation, development, and retention of a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the marketing department.
- Assists with Divisional Business Plans including setting of revenue objectives, profit objectives, and asset management.
- Participates in industry advisory committees, such as APIC (Association for Practitioners of Infection Control) to influence market trends.
- Identifies sales force needs and design new sales tools that will help drive revenue and market share objectives.
- Works with the Global Marketing Director and the Business Development Manager to identify new growth opportunities for the Division, including product, company, and /or technology acquisitions.
- Establishes relationships with key customers, including, clinicians, buyers, group purchasing organizations, distributors, and industry associates.
- Supervises product management team and develops subordinates into highly effective Market Managers.
- Makes presentations to major audiences, including key customer groups, corporate officers, buying groups, sales representatives.
- Maintains close communication with the sales management team to ensure execution of divisional marketing plans and objectives.
- Directs the marketing team in the development of marketing plans for the key product segments of the BMD portfolio.

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge: |
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and/or Experience: |
- B/S degree; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years experience (prefer minimum of 2 years of sales experience and 3 years of product management experience)
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Experience in selling and marketing clinical products and/or outcome-based products is necessary

Work Environment: |
This position works in a normal office environment. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Frequent travel is required.
