Title    Proposal Writer


Job Description   

This position will support First Data’s Government and Higher Education sales activities by developing and preparing responsive, customized proposals, responses to formal Requests for Proposals, presentations and any requests for information for our GHE Sales team.
The position will demonstrate the ability to weave brand messaging and technical documentation together to create proposals that communicate First Data’s value proposition and competitive advantages.

 

The Proposal Writer will have excellent skills in the area of writing, editing and project/priority management.
The position requires a proactive approach to large projects, the ability to think outside the box and to work with individuals at all levels.
The Proposal Writer will work closely with Sales, Legal, Contracts, and Proposal Manager to develop final product.
Proposal Writer will work within a Proposal Team environment and is responsible for quality control on all documentation delivered to customers.
Utilize software tools expertly and efficiently in support of sales opportunities.



Candidate Requirements   

At least five years experience managing projects, processes and procedures

Extensive writing experience in the area of sales and marketing communications

Strong knowledge of First Data products and services

At least five years of experience writing, editing and proofing large strategic documents

Strong knowledge of AP Style (grammar, punctuation, etc.)

Skills in the area of document and graphics formatting using Microsoft suite of software applications

Some graphic design skills a plus
