The successful candidate will have an opportunity to make a major contribution to the evolution of ELEKTA’s market leading Anatomic Pathology software solution, PowerPath. Product Managers are responsible for driving ELEKTA’s development priorities to meet established business objectives. That includes defining market and business drivers in order to ensure development priorities are set correctly. It also includes maintaining product roadmaps, defining product requirements, designing product components, planning product releases and supporting development activities. Product Managers must also ensure conformance to regulatory requirements, manage the product rollout and support promotional, sales and customer service activities.
It will be significant advantage for candidates to have strong domain knowledge and/or direct experience in a medical laboratory. Communicating effectively with customers will play a large role in the success of the Product Manager and ultimately in the success of the product in the field. Strong analysis skills are essential in order to fully understand complex customer problems. In this role, the ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining the best results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis & Planning
ELEKTA Product Managers are responsible to fully understand and communicate internally the challenges (problems) faced by ELEKTA’s current and prospective customers. They must also attain in-depth knowledge of competitive products as well as emerging products, services, and technologies being developed to address these challenges.
Product Definition
Product Managers are responsible to prepare Project Concept Proposals that identify the key elements of proposed projects and present the business justification for resourcing these projects. They also must isolate and analyze problems identified through market/product research activities, and ensure that sound product requirements and solutions are defined. Product Managers work with RA/QA and Engineering to ensure that products under development meet all regulatory guidelines.
Product Rollout
Product Managers are responsible to ensure that products are well-managed throughout the rollout. This will include evaluating product feedback during the alpha/beta process and ensuring a high quality, timely release. Product Managers must also ensure that all labeling documentation is generated, promotional programs are in place and product pricing is approved.
Product Managers will be involved in both the preparation of material for tradeshows and for providing expert product knowledge at various promotional events. They will also work closely with product Advisory Boards and will organize and manage specific product focus groups.
Product Managers provide support as needed to Sales and Customer Services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Position requires Bachelor’s and/or Masters degree in a related subject (i.e., engineering, medicine, business), as well as relevant business experience (5-7 years)
