Duties & Responsibilities:


 


 GRN Community Service Board is seeking PRN nurses for a crisis stabilization center for children/adolescents. The state-funded 28-bed community residential center is temporarily located in metro Atlanta. It will be housed temporarily on the campus of Atlanta Regional Hospital in Decatur. The center will serve children through age 17 in the metropolitan Atlanta region, who have severe, short-term behavioral health care or addictive disease services needs. 


Duties include the following: 


 


• Assist with development and implementation of nursing care plans. 


• Coordinate proper administration of medications 


• Observe and record responses to treatment and any new symptoms. 


• Make suggestions to the treatment team regarding needed nursing care changes 


• Record observations and maintain medical records that meet applicable standards 


• Provide nursing education to consumers and families, as needed.


 


Minimum Training & Experience: Position Specific Qualifications: 


A current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. 


 


Must pass criminal background check, including finger-printing and pre-employment drug screen.


 


Preferred Qualifications:


 


 Experience in providing nursing services to children and adolescents. 


Experience working in a Residential treatment or in-patient hospital setting. 


Experience working with the mentally ill population.
