United Rehab, a proud affiliate of the UHS-Pruitt Corporation, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist, with required multi-site management experience, to join our team as Regional Rehab Manager for our 14 Centers throughout South Georiga. The ideal candiddate may live in Macon, GA or south of Macon, GA to be centrally located in the managed region but able to travel 50%.
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Executive Director of UHS-Pruitt Corporation’s Rehab Contract Company the Regional Manager is a licensed physical, occupational or speech therapist responsible for coordinating and managing the rehabilitation services operations of assigned facilities in the three rehabilitation disciplines including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology for the company.
Qualification Standards, Education, and Work Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited program in the discipline of practice
• Valid therapy license or eligibility for license in state(s) where services a rendered
• Five or more years of experience, with two or more years experience in asupervisory capacity with experience in long term care preferred
Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
Satisfactory results of a criminal history check, Office of the Inspector General Sanction Check, and satisfactory licensure validations (as applicable).
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates and Licenses Required:
Valid therapy license in state(s) where services are rendered
Knowledge and Skills:
• Functional literacy in spoken and written English Language
• Computer Literate
• Demonstrated attention to detail and well organized
• Demonstrated effective supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
• Able to sit and drive in an automobile
• Competency in higher functioning math skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises Facility Program Managers
2. Participates in keeping current with Medicare/Medicaid and other regulations as they relate to therapy services
3. Assists in the budgeting and purchasing process of the rehabilitation services sites
4. Participates in and supervises the recruitment of rehabilitation therapy staff for each site
5. Oversees all hiring/firing, promotion, salary and wage determination of rehabilitation therapist/assistants/aides in cooperation with the Director of Rehab Services
6. Completes periodic performance evaluations on direct reports
7. Determines staffing needs, schedules staff and maintains accurate staffing reports
8. Ensures that all rehabilitation therapy billing, payroll and reporting is completed on a timely basis
9. Provides rehabilitation management reports to Director of Rehabilitation Services and other interested parties as required
10. Participates in development and implementation of rehabilitation services strategic planning and business development planning
11. Responsible for the orientation and training of the Facility Program Managers through implementation and review of company’s rehab services policies and procedures
12. Participates in the development, implementation and support of marketing programs for the company
13. Implements quality assurance programs in facilities through audits and reporting procedures
14. Other duties as assigned
