Detailed Description
1. Purpose Statement:
EMEAA
Manages and leads a team of sales people dedicated to growing airline business to include portfolio allocation, negotiation strategies, discount approvals, and process improvement.
2. Main Accountabilities:

1. Develops and executes strategies to preserve booking fee revenue including negotiating full content agreements with key airline customers.
2. Develops and maintains solid business relationships with leadership teams at customer airlines.
3. Creates and executes annual sales and revenue plans that drive revenue production and maintain costs.
4. Ensures competitive airline content exists in Travelport system and is delivered as identified by Worldwide Travel Distribution and e-Commerce business units.
5. Works with subordinate managers and, as appropriate, members of the management staff in the development of goals and plans for the organizational components for which he/she is responsible.
6. Develops and secures approval of a coordinated budget for area(s) of responsibility and guides subordinate managers in the development of their budgets as necessary. Administers or delegates the administration of budgets, approving expenditures, reviewing reports, etc.
7. Develops, approves, and when necessary secures the approval of policies designed to ensure the attainment of agreed upon goals for area(s) of responsibility. Ensures the development of the procedures necessary to implement approved policy.
8. Hires subordinate managerial personnel and assists them in planning staffing patterns for their area(s) of responsibility. Evaluates, develops and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinate personnel, delegating such matters to supervisory and managerial employees as appropriate.
9. Ensures that departments within areas of responsibility are effectively organized including: a) efficient work-flow patters; b) appropriate delineation of duties and responsibilities; c) established performance standards; d) suitable staffing patterns; e) appropriate management and supervision; and f) mechanisms for timely communication of pertinent information.
10. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
11. Serves as administrative liaison with other departments; establishes the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate the services of a number of organizational components into the overall corporate goals.
12. Receives and investigates all complaints concerning subordinate managers and takes appropriate corrective/disciplinary action and/or prepares replies. Reviews actions taken in response to complaints or problems at the department/unit level. Provides assistance and guidance to subordinate managers in the resolution of sensitive problems.
13. Remains abreast of developments in the field by participating in professional organizations and pursuing a program of self-development. Incorporates advancements when considered appropriate.
14. Directs the design and establishment of appropriate management control procedures for area(s) of responsibility, including records maintenance, authorization procedures, and recurring reports. Reviews records and reports and, when necessary, initiates corrective actions, requests special analyses, and/or changes control procedures.

3. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education:
1. A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience, with at least five years in airline distribution.
1. Proven airline distribution experience to include development and management of large accounts.
2. Knowledge of and extensive experience in sales and marketing principles, airline industry trends, and Travelport products, services and system functionality.
3. Excellent strategic business development and negotiation skills.
4. Budget planning and administration experience.
5. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to deal with sensitivity to personnel issues.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees, customers, owners and vendors.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
