Job Description:
The Sales Director is an individual contributor role focused on new customer acquisition and is an active participant and member of the extended sales team. This position requires an in depth understanding of sales methodologies like Solution Selling or Customer Centric Selling and a track record of successful quota achievement. The Sales Director will use selling and relationship building skills to build an intimate understanding of our prospective customers’ business problems, objectives and priorities in order to map these needs to our solution offerings and build a business case in support of our solutions. This position will coordinate and at times lead in presentations to the prospective customer, respond to RFP’s and be a conduit of collecting and sharing leading industry trends with the company. Following any sale the Sales Director will partake in communicating information collected during the sales cycle to the professional services, account management and operations teams to insure a smooth transition.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively penetrate, qualify and generate revenue out of a list of named accounts (or geography) assigned to the Sales Director
- Consult with prospective customers to identify business problems; objectives and priorities relevant to our solution offerings. Lead generation activities to insure pipeline remains full
- Research and stay abreast of industry trends and business priorities.
- Liaise directly with other sales team members such as the Solution Consultant and management to ensure a coordinated, thorough and professional experience for the customer throughout the sales process
- Liaise directly with the professional services team and account management members to ensure new business is effectively handed off for a successful implementation
- Assist in the RFP/RFI process as necessary
- Participate in trade shows, webinars and other corporate branding/ lead generation events as needed
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years selling experience
- Successful track record of achieving quota and other business targets
- In depth understanding of the Retail/QSR market needs and trends around merchandising and fulfillment of merchandising programs is an asset
- Knowledge/experience selling solutions to the “C” level suite of Fortune 1000 companies
- Knowledge/experience working in the digital print and fulfilment space is an asset
- The ability to plan and deliver product and solution presentations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
