Job Description:
Title: Contract Analyst-Atlanta, GA
Category: Sales and Sales Support
Purpose: To provide analytical and operational support to the RCM on national accounts, individual contracts, and pricing issues. Ensure that pricing systems are updated. Provide reporting to customers on volume related contracts and purchase commitments, provide support for field and customer pricing for requests.
Summary of Major Responsibilities: Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:
-Compile, construct, and generate standard contracts and Quarter-End promotions. Discuss pricing strategy and pricing requests for basic contracts with sales reps. Determine appropriate pricing using established parameters. Discuss deviations with RCM. Track and report on ongoing contracts.
-Process and manage customer rebates on a monthly basis including tracking and monitoring compliance levels and performing rebate calculations.
Problem Solving: Resolve questions, issues, management, customer and rep requests for pricing and price overrides for/with customer service, customer, reports, management, etc. in a timely manner.
-Develop, construct and maintain ongoing business reporting for customers and management. Analyze trends, develop and generate customized reports for management to facilitate business decisions. Communicate contract information proactively to customers and management.
Aid management in quantitative analysis for the operational planning and forecasting of specific region. Work closely with management to facilitate any changes within operations to include analysis of impact on prices, sales reporting and operating plan.
Performance Factors:
-Knowledge: frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards relating to the contract management discipline. General application of contract management concepts and principles.
-Problem solving: develops solutions to a variety of contract problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to contracts policies and procedures for guidance.
-Discretion/latitude: works under very general supervision. Work is reviewed by Contract Manager and/or Finance Director for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Impact: contributes significantly to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.
Liaison: frequent contacts with other disciplines within the company. Frequent customer contact on both routine and complex contract matters. Represents the organization on specific projects.
Summary of Major Requirements:
Required:
-BA/BS degree in Finance or Business.
-3-5 years job experience with customers, inventory and contract related work.
-Strong computer skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Desired:
-MBA with concentration in Finance or Marketing.
-Proficiency in Excel/Microsoft Office Tools.
