Job Description
National Service Sales Director
Industry Solutions / Industrial Technologies
Must be a great leader, strategic and possess an excellent understanding of our customers, markets, business operations and people. Specific Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a combination of P&L and business unit experience and a successful track record in a Sales Leadership role.
Previous Service Sales experience within Siemens is strongly preferred. Demonstrated track record of adopting and driving the Siemens Business System culture and processes is critical to success of this position.
Operational experience strongly preferred
Must have at least 10 years in the industry and management experience, with major part of this in Service and/or Sales.
Job Family Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direct the overall operation for direct and/or channel sales, and delegates assignments to management and subordinate staff. Leads the overall sales efforts to grow market share and profitability. Align service and solution strategy to meet or exceed objectives established for each portfolio element. Directs strategy for retention of account base and development and penetration of new accounts. Proactively work across other Siemens organizations & Sectors to leverage complimentary resources, solutions and or channels to obtain profitable growth and market share.
Key Responsibilities
Leveraging the complementary sales teams within Siemens Industry Inc. to maximum profitable volume in project and service business for Industrial Services (IS) Vertical Markets (Cement, Paper, Infrastructure, Cross Industrial) and the I and S Service Business (Metals, Mining, Marine, Water). This includes external and inter-company business. Work with Business Development to enhance the portfolio. Analyze, together with the Operations organization, the market requirements and develop a regional strategic business plan for profitable growth and to define the right resources for different industries.
Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness. Area of responsibility has significant strategic impact on the overall success of functional or division operations. Often is required to create/conceptualize new systems, programs, or products with significant business impact. Develops and manages departmental budgets and business plans for the largest and most complex projects or directs a functional area for a medium to large division. Has full latitude to create and conceptualize policies/programs for area of responsibility or products and to forecast their impact; Analyzes effectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs or products that affect company as a whole; Aligns policies/products and development efforts with company strategies. Identifies resource needs with complete authority to approve identified needs. Acts as an advisor that troubleshoots and resolves extremely complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas. (Possibly a division or SOC). Approves organizational structures and supervisory relationships in a functional area or division. Responsible for overall success of function or project within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.
Education
BS/BA in an engineering or business discipline with an advanced degree."
