The RSA – enVision Practice Consultant is responsible for the technical implementation and project management of professional services engagements for RSA’s enVision Data Security Group’s Logging, Monitoring and Reporting applications. These projects may include analyzing requirements, implementation, customization, integration and documentation for the customer. The Practice Consultant works closely with sales, project managers, other TS personnel, and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode. Key responsibilities include the successful execution of all consulting engagements, which encompass evaluating customers' strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex technical solutions. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. This position will require travel throughout the United States.
We are seeking a service-driven individual to join our Professional Services staff as a Professional Services Consultant. The Professional Services Consultant acts as a company representative in a post-sales perspective to provide installation, training, and customization services. The Professional Services Consultant must work diligently to get customers up and running with Network Intelligence Corporation’s hardware and software products. You must be willing to work with other people and put in whatever effort it takes to satisfy customers, both internal and external.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide punctual, on-site installation, training, and customization services
Provide product training via phone and Webex
Development of statements of work for complex projects
Ability to build project plans and manage complex projects
Some outside-normal-hours visits as necessary
Logging all issues into databases
Proactive following-up on all issues and visits
Analysis and debugging of technical issues
Provide technical documentation and knowledge base updates
Assist technical support in times of staff shortages
Minimum requirements for consideration:
Minimum of a 4 year (i.e. Bachelors) Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years experience delivering consulting services to customers in complex network environments, including exposure to security environments (SOC, NOC, LAN/WAN, Desktop)
Expert level familiarity with Windows 2000, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.
Familiarity with Cisco PIX Firewalls, Cisco Routers, Cisco VPN devices, Checkpoint FW-1 Firewalls, Intel VPN, or other network and security devices
Understanding of network and security knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS/WINS, firewalls, routers, IDS, VPNs)
Certification is a plus in any of the following areas:
Windows OS certifications (MSCE, MCP, etc.)
Security certifications (CISSP, etc.)
Device Vendor Certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Check Point CCSE, NICE, etc.)
Positive, can-and-will-do, team player attitude.
Positive appearance and charismatic demeanor conducive to presenting information to customers in a face-to-face encounter
Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally.
Resourceful and self-sufficient, as help may not always be readily available
Project management experience, particularly in the area of application implementation
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
Willing and able to travel up to 100% of the time
