The Provisioning and Escalations team is a group of specialized tier 3 System and Network engineers focused on the effective and timely resolution of problems that have high impact or severity classifications along with the change management of systems that have a high impact on the Company’s ability to deliver services or client’s ability to work.

Job Description:

As a Senior Network Engineer on the Escalations team, you will:

• Lead and or assist in custom network design situations. 


• Be responsible for managing the company’s enterprise networking infrastructure


• Pre-stage and turn up communications infrastructure for customer networks


• Document all network configurations and changes


• Troubleshoot network communication problems and outages


• Actively communicate the status of your work with clients and coworkers


• Update online Knowledge Base and ticket queues


• Manage the ISP and ISP SLA(s) for internal  and customer contracts

Will work with:

• Firewalls – Juniper, Cisco & Check Point


• Switches - HP & Cisco


• Various ISPs


• Various Routers


• Monitoring Systems - CA Unicenter Spectrum and Kaseya


• Microsoft Windows Servers and Active Directory


• Email and DNS Servers


• Backups, Replication and Disaster Recovery Solutions


• Netscreen Security Manager


• AEP- Netilla Security Platform

Will implement:

• Routing via EIGRP, RIP, OSPF and Static statements


• VOIP, COS and QOS


• VLAN Security


• Firewall and Access Control Policies


• VMWARE Virtual Infrastructure Host Servers

Responsible for:

• Security and Intrusion Detection


• Configuration Management and Change Control


• Network and Systems Performance Monitoring


• Network Outage and Degraded Performance Support
