Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Analyzes, codes/configures, and tests applications. Assists in developing applications specifications and in providing support for customer applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree. Positions in this classification may require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.



Preferred Qualifications
The School of Medicine is seeking an exceptional user interface designer and client-side programmer for their web and application development team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing websites and application interfaces, have a passion for delivering high quality software, and possess a high degree of creativity. The salary for this position will not exceed $48K annually.
Requirements:

•Superior User Interface design skills using technologies like XHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, and CSS
•1 or more years of experience with XML, XSLT, XML schemas and/or XML DTDs, with a strong understanding of XSLT
•Expertise designing front-ends that will be viewed on a wide range of web browsers, and experience troubleshooting compatibility issues
•Intermediate knowledge of a scripting language, such as: Perl, ColdFusion, PhP, or Python
•Experience with a content management system is a plus
•Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
