Job Description:

Join this growing company as a Systems Architect responsible for architecting and designing enterprise level applications. You will work with multiple departments to understand the short-term and long-term strategic needs of the business and build the systems that will achieve their goals. This company is driving their growth through IT initiatives and this is a great time to join! You will architect, design and prepare all requirements, SOWs and implementation documents and plans. You will work closely with the Project Management team to deliver applications in a C#, ASP.NET, SOA, and XML high transaction - high volume environment. This is a great opportunity to own and complete full-life cycle enterprise applications that help the business. To be successful, you must have at least 8 years of total development experience with recent Architect experience, with experience in a variety of concepts, best practices and procedures for the .NET environment. You need to have a four year degree, current architecture and design experience, strong past development experience with C#, ASP.NET, ESB, XML and OO Design. Required experience with the following tools Visual Studio, Subversion, OnTime, etc. You must have strong experience with core enterprise applications such as Lawson and Sharepoint. MCSD and MCA certifications are a plus. No contract backgrounds please. This is a great team environment in Duluth!

Required Experience



  • 4 year degree

  • Preferred certifications in MCSD, MCA

  • 8 years of relative work experience with 5 years of Software Development experience using Object-Oriented principles and design patterns

  • Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans

  • Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis

  • Proven experience in applications, systems and network design and development

  • Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including Lawson or SharePoint

  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including .NET architecture, SOA, XML, UML

  • Expert knowledge of programming languages - C#, .NET, XML, ASP.NET

  • Hands-on experience with application development tools - Visual Studio, Subversion, OnTime, CruiseControl, Visio

  • Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices

  • Proven project planning and management experience

  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills

  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required
