Job Title: Data Transformation Developer/ Architect

Job Description:

Opportunity to work with an industry leader! The data transformation developer/architect is responsible for analyzing data and developing code to transform the data as needed to meet the needs of the Data Warehouse users. Your key responsibilities: Participate in functional and technical design sessions with project team members and business users; Translate business and functional requirements into a code and scripts; Contribute to the detailed estimation of development work; and Contribute new ideas to improve the design and functionality of the data warehouse. Must be able to create a solutions and transform data logs into the data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience transforming web logs into database structures for use in a data warehouse. Candidates that do not have experience with web logs need to have solution experience in transforming unstructured or semi-structured data sources into a relational database structure. Or candidates that have design and/or developed solutions in pattern recognition / matching. Strong data analysis and working in a fluid environment is necessary. This is a 3 month plus contract in the Atlanta area. Comprehensive benefits.


Required Experience



  • Strong solutions experience and a track record of designing solutions to meet business needs.

  • Experience transforming web logs into database structures for use in a data warehouse.

  • Solution experience in transforming unstructured or semi-structured data sources into a relational database structure.

  • Design and/or developed solutions in pattern recognition / matching.

  • 4+ years of experience in SQL, ability to understand explain plans, experience on one or more of the following databases: Oracle, Tereadata, or Netezza (preferred)

  • 2+ years experience with a 3GL programming language: C or C++ preferred, Java, C# are also acceptable.

  • Bachelors degree, or higher, in one of the following: Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
