Join our entrepreneurial, customer-centric company in the role of Director, Web Application Development at our Midtown Atlanta location. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Director, Web Application Development will be a motivated and highly effective IT professional, who will be responsible for the web solutions architecture for Benchmark Brands. This position will lead an established team of programmers, executing on that architecture, who develop and maintain the solutions for the company’s e-retailing website and internal enterprise applications. A key assignment in this role will be to lead the technical evolution and transformation of Footsmart.com to a best of breed, Web 2.0 site. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES •    Provide management, technical expertise, direction, coaching, and development to a software development team specifically in Microsoft .NET technology. • Assume technical ownership of website applications that support website performance and marketing program functionality, while providing continuous oversight and optimization. • Lead a team developing applications using C#.NET, ASP.NET, Javascript, HTML, SQL Server 2005, Transact-SQL, and SSIS. •    Interface with business customers regarding key enhancements, gather requirements, and engineer efficient solutions utilizing internal staff, consultants, or 3rd parties. •    Introduce state of the art technologies and processes to achieve high performance and maintain a competitive edge. •    Work directly with development team to ensure that excellent lifecycle, design, and coding standards are being met. •    Establish project timelines and meet scheduled milestones with consistent precision. • Provide leadership in solving day-to-day operational issues. •    Provide project management to solve day-to-day operational issues. POSITION REQUIREMENTS •    BS Degree in Computer Science or related field. •    3+ years of experience directly leading a .NET development team for a Consumer Media, Marketing, or eCommerce site highly desirable •    5+ years of development experience, with a minimum of 2 years programming in the .NET environment. •    Proven ability to lead a development team in meeting development objectives in an effective and timely way. •    A complete understanding of Microsoft technologies: o    C#.NET o ASP.NET o    Microsoft SQL Server 2005 •    Experience implementing solutions in the areas of Site Analytics, SEO, Site Search, Personalization, and Site Optimization highly desirable. • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, and works well in a team environment. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. •    Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
