DESCRIPTION: As a member of Grady Health System’s IT management team , the Solutions Architect leads and develops technology solutions. The implementation of technology solutions may include application design, development and integration. The Solutions Architect partners with business users and other management team members to understand solution requirements and needs. Based on these requirements, the team members is able to define and document application design and deliver solutions that leverage services, platforms and standards to enhance productivity.
EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS: Baccalaureate degree in IT or a related field is preferred. Five + years experience in technology leadership roles (preferably Solutions Architect or Applications/Integration Architect). Healthcare IT experience desired. EPIC knowledge and/or certification a plus. Experience in technical roles within an Applications Development environment is needed (either in-house IT or as a consultant). Technical experience should include: Strong analytical and problem solving capability; proven ability to identify and define the “right solution” and develop pragmatic and practical solutions. Defining and applying technology related standards, process and governance; experience of relevant technologies, i.e., Microsoft technologies, EMC SAN expertise, VMW are solutions, Data Center Operations, Development methodology and modeling expertise. Strong collaborative skills, ability to coordinate and work collaboratively with teams and individuals needed. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. The ability to work minimal supervision, organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain confidential information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Are minimal with extensive sitting, and occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing. Minimal lifting or other physical exertion. Requires close and distance, color vision, the ability to talk, hear, and manual dexterity. The work environment involves occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases. The noise level is moderate.
