Job Description:

Leading provider of cutting-edge technology looking for an exceptional Lead Analytics Engineer with strong database skills to play a key role in the development of its award-winning enterprise analytics product. This will be a demanding position, but will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting, leading edge technology in the industry. Candidates should expect an interview process that tests their practical knowledge, problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skills. Ideal candidate is an expert in MS SQL Server development including data modeling, index design, concurrency, stored procedure development and tuning, ideally in a commercial software development environment. You must have experience with multi-terabyte databases and design issues and possess a strong OO programming background (ideally .NET but can be Java or C++). Any expertise with data access techniques, ORM, data mapping, and data boundary experience will move you to the top of the list! Experience with source control systems (CVS, Subversion, Perforce) and an advocate of automated unit testing (ideally with jUnit) are required. Required Experience



  • 5+ years with the following:

  • OO Programming/Developer (either C#, Java, or C++.)

  • ADO.NET

  • Experience with agile development processes (Scrum, XP)

  • Experienced with data tier performance analysis and tuning

  • MS SQL Server development including data modeling, index design, concurrency, stored procedure development and tuning.

  • Multi-terabyte databases and design issues.

  • Experienced with and an advocate of automated unit testing (at least 1 year)

  • Data access techniques

  • Source control systems (CVS, Subversion, Perforce)

  • Software product development

  • Bachelor's (CS or Math/Statistics preferred)

  • DESIRED SKILLS

  • Object Relational Mapping - can completely discuss ORM, data mapping, and other critical issues associated with data boundary concerns.

  • SSRS and/or other reporting tools

  • Data mining, OLAP, data warehouse technologies

  • Dashboard design and implementation and related techniques

  • Developing web applications (AJAX, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS)

  • Exceptional problem solving and resolution skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and technical leadership capabilities
