Position Objective
Assistant Network Administrator will provide troubleshooting of day to day problems or unusual issues with networked equipment.
Knowledge of operating systems and applications, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting, but also knowledge of the purposes for which people in the organization use the computers. The network administrator will also require strong interpersonal skills, as the position generally requires the worker to interface with vendors, suppliers, front line employees, and management personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include:
o The deployment, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of active network gear desktops, laptops, switches, routers, etc.
o To include maintenance of individual machines, such as drivers and settings of administrative and training computers as well as printers.
o Also, evaluating the need for upgrades or replacement of current hardware and software solutions.
Required Skills and Minimum Education/Experience or Equivalent
o Bachelors Degree in IT-related field with a minimum of 3 years experience in network administration.
