Position Description

Manhattan Associates is seeking a Senior Development System Engineer to perform maintenance, installations, upgrades, and other technical duties associated with the support of product applications platforms and/or product systems platforms.  This person will maintain developers’ access to application code libraries and support product quality and availability and may be responsible for beta releases.

Responsibilities Include:
• Administers the systems associated with product applications platforms and/or product systems platforms.
• Performs maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
• Manages user requests for service and assistance.
• Supports product quality and may be involved with beta releases.
• Understands and applies Manhattan IT policy and procedure to their daily work.
• Assists department manager in on-going assessment and upgrading of servers.
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends hardware and software for systems and helps manager plan for the future.

• Performs maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
• Manages user requests for service and assistance.
• Supports product quality and may be involved with beta releases.

Position Requirements

• Typically requires a BS Degree or higher in Computer Science and/or 7-10 years experience in related field
• Typical technologies required: UNIX, Linux, HP-UX, Sun, Solaris, IBM pSeries, SAN, NAS, Veritas, iSeries and Windows
• Must be a seasoned professional concerned with problems that have a direct and important effect on business programs and results
• Must have start-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, processes, and practices
• Knowledge of IBM Rational CC/CQ is highly desired
