Senior XML Analyst - Reservations

Location: United States - Atlanta | Full time | Job opening ID: 1895
Purpose

Responsible for providing functional customer support for the SITA Reservations XML(API) customer base. In addition, supporting the implementation, testing, development, documentation and customer support of the SITA Smart Front End Basic Application (SFEB),Credit Card Application and Terminal Security.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in house investigation of customer reported issues for the Reservations XML(API) application through resolution.
Perform in house monitoring and testing for XML(API) customers.
Prepare and maintain Reservations XML(API) functional support documentation.
Perform DCS Airport configurations for SFEB/SDCS either onsite or remotely. Extensive travel may be required.
Perform Ticketing Office configuration assistance for SITA TKT customer implementations. Configuration knowledge required.
Assist Worldtracer (WT) customers with SFEB implementation for WT access.
Support SFEB/Link Customers via email and phone.
Distribution of SFEB/Link documentation and software.
Test new SFEB versions prior to release - ensure the application services support teams have successfully tested the new version.
Coordinate testing of printers on SFEB for application services seeking approval of the equipment for use with SFEB.
On Call Duty Support- After hours for XML(API) and SFEB/Link customers. Must carry cell phone 24x7 in monthly team rotation.
Education & Qualifications

- Minimum Degree / Certificate in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent Telecommunications in country qualification, applicable vendor / technology intermediate level certification or equivalent work experience
- ITIL Foundation Certificate
- Six Sigma Awareness
Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Systems Specialist / Engineer / Administrator responsible for support activities and LAN, WAN equipment or Aircom & Messaging (ACM) domain
- Must have dealt directly with external customers delivering to SLAs
- Airline experience and/or ATI know-how
Knowledge & Skills

Detailed knowledge of UNIX logins- Telnet and FTP.
Knowledge of JMX Monitors- JConsloe and JManage preferred.
Knowledge of Trillium or CA Unicenter tool preferred.
Knowledge of OTA standards using XML preferred.
Excellent customer interface skills required.
Project Management skills highly desirable.
Training experience required.
Ability to travel, as necessary required. Extensive travel may be required.
Experience with ATB, BTP, and BGR devices desirable.
Have knowledge and familiarity with the 5 types of connections used by SITA Reservations Services to access host applications (TCPIP, X.25,X.28, P1024C, ISNET)
