This is a Shift Position


Must be available on-call 24/7

Our Client is currently in need of a UNIX System Engineer/Admin to fulfill a 3


Month Contract to hire opportunity in Atlanta, GA.


 


The UNIX Engineer will be a member of a team that support all stores


day-to-day operation plus other team projects.


 


Required Skills:


Extensive, hands-on experience with Unix OS, tools, utilities and application.


Must be able to read/write scripts


(Shell, Perl, Python) to automate tasks. Must be proficient with basic


networking including configuration, troubleshooting. Experience with HP


hardware: X86 servers, MSA storage, ILO. Must be available on-call 24/7.


 


Preferred Skills: Linux ES 4, HP UX, AIX, VMware, ESX


 


Years of Experience: Minimum 3 yrs of system administration in a Unix


environment.


 


Soft Skills


Able to perform tasks under minimum supervision. Strong analytical and problem


solving skills. Ability to prioritize work activities and manage multiple


tasks. Able to work independently to research and develop solutions to new


problem. Excellent communication and documentation.
