Job Description

Our client is an international company that manages complex communication

solutions over the world’s most extensive communication networks for its

customers.

 

Our Client is currently in need of a Sr. VMWare Architect / Engineer with

advanced experience with in VMWare virtualization products in UNIX/LINUX

environments to fulfill a 6-12 Month contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Required Experience:

· Ability to learn new systems and techniques quickly and handle multiple

tasks simultaneously.

· Expert experience with Unix/Linux (very important), Novell, and Citrix.

· Skilled in peer to peer and client/server networks.

· Skilled in Network Protocols, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and firewalls

· Skilled in Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage (SAN and NAS),

data backup and restoration

· Skilled in Bash/SHELL, HTML, PERL, PHP and Web Development.

· Designed custom web applications.

· Experience with MySQL and Relational Database Management Systems.

· Effective interaction with customers, clients, 3rd party vendors, and

end-users.

· Excellent problem-solver and trouble-shooter.

· Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

· Data Center experience a must.

 

Required Skills:

· VMware exp. (Enterprise Level exp.)

· Building out the ESX servers and the Virtual Machine residing on those ESX

servers

· Apache and Tomcat experience

· Server configuration; setting up IPs, DNS, set up file systems, some NFS

configuration

 

The length of the assignment is estimated at 6-12 months.
